true story
We got married right out of college. We were the first of our friends to take the plunge, and it was all the good feels, but we were lost when it came to planning. Looking back, we made a lot of good decisions, but we also made a pretty big bad.
We settled.
The photographer we hired was just starting out.
She forgot to bring batteries for her camera.
Wasn’t sure where to be, when, or what to look for.
She returned our photos months later, but without being edited.
And her lack of organization brought unnecessary stress to the day.
We learned the true value of good imagery AND and experience.
We know this sounds a little like a sob story, but it gets good. Promise.
You benefit from our mistake. It’s like you get a do-over before needing a do-over.

PHILOSOPHY
It’s the journey to and from the destination as much as it is the destination itself. Whoa. Deep. Did someone wise once say that?
The way we see it, our job is to let you experience as many of those feels as you can along the way. To allow you the opportunity to notice. Before, during, after, day of, you’ll hear us gently reminding you to breathe, eat, and drink (you know, the clear water stuff in addition to your mimosa or good buddy, Jack). And we’ll make sure to help you find the most beautiful locations to celebrate in, then encourage you to partake. We’re not the type of photographers who are going to all up in your business telling you to hold poses. You’re not going to hear the words “please, please don’t move” coming out of our mouths, but you will hear us pointing you back toward each other. We love movement, and when you interact, you have more fun, and your photos feel more like you in the end. It’s win, win.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
We take a natural and documentary approach to photography. We like human emotion in its most uninterrupted state and prefer to keep things less staged and more personal (even if we need to provoke some of those natural instances - poke poke). We utilize whatever available light we have and can photograph in any lighting situation, though we’ll guide you in how to get the dreamiest light you can with some helpful tools and any advice you like.
In addition to the actual documenting of life’s high points and the people you’ve chosen to be with you, we understand the importance of the traditional stuff, like family formals if you have any family/friends with you, or even just that simple smile at the camera and say cheese need it for the parents frame, photo. We’ll get those, too and we’ll do it so well and fast that even your Great Uncle Gus will be impressed.
Will we meet before the wedding?
Connection is important. The better you know us, the more you’ll trust us. The more trust you throw our way, the better our connection and the more soul your photos will emulate. Meeting you, and getting to know you as a couple is incredibly important to us, but we also get that adding wedding planning to normal life living takes a lot of time! Do you travel for Elopements?
YES, YES, YES! Did we come across too eager, there? We may be homebodies at heart, but we also love a good adventure. We travel quite often to reach you amazing people, and at the risk of adding too much cheese (is that a thing?) the opportunity to see more of the world while simultaneously doing what we love most is an honor. If you’re interested in us photographing your wedding outside the bounds of Columbus, OH, please contact us for details on pricing as each location is planned and priced according to actual cost.
WHEN CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE OUR PHOTOS?
We take great care in processing your photos. No half-assing here! Each photo is carefully selected and edited to tell your story. In fact, we look at each one multiple times. For a wedding, you can expect 8-12 weeks for processing.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
Once we receive your 50%, non-refundable down payment and signed contract, the date is yours. The final payment is required 30 days prior to your wedding date, unless you wedding date is in less than 30 days from booking. If that’s you, we address in a case by case basis. Do you need a different payment plan? Let us know! We’re happy to chat about it.
DO YOU TAKE FAMILY FORMAL PHOTOS?
Yes! If you have a few close friends or family members sharing in your elopement with you, we will make sure to get some formal documentation of that. They are important and we keep them simple. We have mastered a way to get them done quickly and efficiently, and keep the edits basic, making them frame worthy in any home. We always recommend doing them outdoors or in a room lit well by natural light when possible so we can also capture the nuances of family interaction.
HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN WE EXPECT?
The final images will be the best of the best. We want you to look as beautiful as you feel on your wedding day (or for any session), which is why we fully edit each of the photos we give you. It’s hard to put a number on it as every day is different, but you can expect around 300 images from your elopement, and 50 images from your engagement shoot.
DO WE GET THE RIGHTS TO OUR IMAGES?
Yes! You will receive a print release along with your online photo gallery where you can order prints from a professional printhouse, download your images, and easily share your gallery with friends and family via social media outlets.
