Ramblings from one of Rangefinder's 30 Rising Stars!

You guys.

We are blown away.

It is with so many joyful tears that we get to share with you all that we were selected as one of Rangefinder Magazines' 30 Rising Stars in Wedding Photography for 2016.  We are so honored and grateful to have been included among so much talent.

If you follow our work, we hope that you have recognized our approach to wedding photography as story tellers.  If you’re new here, we hope you can feel our passion for connection as you learn more about  who we are as artists.  We continually seek to grow by pushing ourselves to be relational photographers, tirelessly committed to showing the depths of those we work with.

It took a lot of years for us to find our passion in photographing the human experience, and we found it through documenting love stories.  We learned early on how important it is to experience life with those we meet and those we work with.  There is a vast expanse of joy that comes from opening your hearts to people that start as strangers.  At the risk of layering the cheese too thick (though, too much cheese - is there such a thing?), it is the highest of honors to have the opportunity to give this piece of ourselves back to those we come to love in the form of art.

We love every single one of you that have supported us in this adventure.  It seems like only yesterday we were tossing around the idea to start a photography business based on nothing but a gut feeling.  To see our names next to such an incredible roll of artists and people is surreal to say the least.

Below is a glimpse of the gallery being featured with our selection.  We hope that you will also follow this link to see the other amazing artists that are being honored today and the beautiful work they have created.

All of the hugs to you,

Ashley + Ben

Oh, and if that wasn't enough of a treat for us this week, we also have a little man to introduce to everyone!  We gave birth to our son, Judah William yesterday morning!  We will surely be sharing our birth story here, but for now - here are a few shameless iPhone photos taken by friends and family of our little man.
